Sweet and Sour Pork Recipe Preparation
Preparation Clean the pork removing any excess fat. Sear in a pan with hot oil. Place the pork shoulder in a sheet of aluminum foil. Season with salt and cayenne pepper. Spread mustard and jam over the pork. Sprinkle with minced roast almonds and clove. Close the aluminum foil well. Bake for 45-55 minutes at medium/high temperature. Side dish: cut the carrots into sticks and the onion in half. Cook both in salt water until soft. Place the sugar and water in a pan and heat until it forms a golden caramel. Add the butter and mix until it melts. Add the drained vegetables, season with salt and pepper and mix for 1 minute. Serve the pork with the leftover gravy and cover with the caramel vegetables.
